Hello everyone.

I just looked at the GPU prices today, and i saw some 1060 6GB's for like 150 euro's (220 Dollars roughly). And i thought, while volta's coming out soon, why not get a 1070 instead? (1070 costs like 220 euro's= 280-300 dollars). I'm gonna upgrade in about 3 months, so i think by that time, volta's already out (Hopefully) and i can upgrade to a 1070. My system: A G4560, H110M motherboard & 8 gigs of ram. Paired with a 1050Ti. I can upgrade to a 1060 no problem, because i have a 6x pin connector. But, if i want to upgrade to a 1070 (And later to a i5 6600 because 1070 bottlenecks) i need a 8x pin connector. Where the hell do i get one? And is the 1070 card even compatible with my 400W power supply? If those 2 questions are awnsered "yes". How do i install that 1 8x pin? Thanks.

Lots of things here:

1) Volta coming out in a three months, unlikely, even if it does it will be the typical flagship release of 80 class card, $550 MSRP or so. A 70 series card would follow up a few weeks to several months later.
2) If your power supply doesn't have the appropriate PCIe power connectors then that power supply is undersized for the task you demand of it. Under some circumstances it is okay to use adapters, but here I would say you should get a new power supply to run a 1070.

1050Ti is quite decent for 1080p gaming. GTX1060 is better and usually allows for much higher settings, but 60FPS is easily achievable with both for most game titles.

A GTX1070 gets you into 2560x1440 territory, so no need to spend a lot on a card if you don't have an output that can use it. Really pairs well with something like 1080p 144Hz+ or 2560x1440@60hz.

I think it's from Realtek or something. I bought my PC as a pre built so yeah.

And look at this link:

About 300-350 euro's. for a 1070, i know, weird. If you put "Cheapest price first" You may find some for like 250 euro's, even this GTX 1080: https://www.amazon.de/gp/offer-listing/B01FTZEDOE/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used
Then i'll have to get a 1060. Ty for the people that responded
