my new graphics card is messing with my motherbord

I just got a new graphics card (ge force gt 640) to temporarily replace my main graphics card (ge force gtx 660) is sent in to evga for replacement. I was putting in the new one and was having strange errors. Everything on screen was red then just black. Then I reset it and the Motherbord fan would not turn on and red leds would be on and after it being on for 5-10 mins it would beep then stop. I have no idea whats going on and I can get pictures if it helps thank you.

When I try to turn on my computer nothing shows up on screen as if the computer isn't on.

I reset the cmos but nothing changed

Sounds like it's a DOA card. It's all I can think of.

Was your 660 working at all before it broke?
