Hi,
kaMchS

I just bought Gigabyte windforce 1060 3gb
It idles at 45 C
playing GTA V at max 72 C

My case has 7 fans not including the cpu cooler(Cryorig H5 ultimate)

Ambient temp 29 C ....the case is dusty (two years without cleaning)

My cpu i5 6600K idles at 37 C

Is that a problem with the thermal paste of the VGA that came with it ?

I must admit I handled the card poorly that maybe the cooler got a little bit detached from the gpu ...What should I do ?

Solution
1) Idle temps vary, and some are abnormally hot because they turn off the FAN until roughly 60degC, and

2) 80degC is roughly the throttle point (it's actually slightly complicated) but it won't overheat since the GPU frequency/voltage are adjusted automatically

But 72degC is well under the throttle point so if you haven't done so you can OVERCLOCK... silicon lottery affects results but you MIGHT be able to get roughly 2000MHz under load.

Overclocking may be stable in one game but not another. I would freeze in Witcher 3 if I OC'd to 2000MHz so I just went back to my 1930MHz max (GTX1080) as I realized the max gain was under 4% anyway.
