So I bought shinny new GeForce GTX 1070 G1 from Gigabyte. According to reviews the card is from silent to a bit audible under longer load. That's and understatement of the year. I knew Gigabyte's cards aren't exactly the pinnacle of silence, but what my card manages to put out is an overkill:

A 480€ card inside Fractal Design Define R5 silent case and I can hear it from the other side of the room. This is not what I paid for, I didn't want to buy a mosquito killing machine. A deep humming sound coming from fans is OK. Buzzing coil is manageable. But high pitch noise that's forcing my brain to escape through my nose is as far from acceptable as it can gets.
Is there any way how to deal with this? If I'd want to lower fans' speed, which temperature is safe in the long run?
