My new pc build wouldn't show up on the screen when I tested it,

Nov 9, 2012
Hi I just tested my new pc build out side of the case before I putting it in. I got everything together, shorted the power supply to turn it on and everything. The CPU fan started as well as the gpu and multiple lights came on the mobo but it didn't show up on my monitor. My build specs are these,

Case: Antec P280 Black ATX Mid Tower
CPU: i7 3770k
Gpu: Galaxy 67NPH6DV5ZVX GeForce GTX 670 GC 2GB
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77
Ram: G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 32GB
Hard drive: TOSHIBA DT01ACA200 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB
Ssd: OCZ vertex 4 256gb
Air cooling for CPU: noctua Nh-d14
Power supply: SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W gold plus
Monitor: ASUS VS239H-P Black 23" 5ms ips
Optical drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST

I am positive I put the CPU in correctly and without damaging anything, the yellow triangle was in the bottom left hand corner and everything, the fan and graphics card are running fine and I have an hdmi cable attached from my graphics card to my monitor yet nothing shows up. I have put my monitor on hdmi mode and still nothing. Everything runs fine it seems but nothing shows up. I am starting to get frustrated. What would be causing this? The CPU? All the power cables seem to be connected fine...
i would try with one stick of memory and only the ssd that got the os unplug the toshiba drive and the dvd drive also use the dvi port on the graphic card to see if you could get a boot.
