My new PC will not Boot up

My computer will not boot up . I went through most of the steps except the system speaker (because my case did not come with it). My motherboard LED's turn on but besides that, nothing else turns on. What should I do?

is the monitor on the right channel (eg using dp is the channel set on displayport)

I will send pictures when I get the chance (may be a while). And my monitor does not have displayport, has dvi-d instead.

I went through all the steps I could before the speaker. I will buy the speaker and hopefully be able to progress soon.

send it back and tell them the problem they will either fix it or send a new one

I should have probably explained that I'm building the PC myself, so that really wouldn't be an option.

make sure all the items you are using work with one another so like use ones from the same company

I used pcpartpicker, which i have heard is very reliable so I do not think that is the issue, but next time i build a computer, I will take that into consideration.

thats utter nonsense.

I can take an intel cpu
asrock motherboard
evga graphcs card
corsair ram
seasonic psu
wd hdd
and a nzxt case

if I want and it will be fine.
