I've tried everything I could think of and tried all the steps in the newb guides. Everything is hooked up correctly according to my mobo's literature. Whenever I plug in and attempt to power on my new build the case light comes on as if it were powering on but then the psu and gpu lights flicker on and off. Also whenever doing this my gpu, psu, and cpu fans go about a quarter turn and everything stops. Does anyone have any idea what could be the issue?

Sounds like it may be your CPU... if your motherboard and PSU are both working, you should be able to at least get to the BIOS screen.

Make sure your FX 6300 is installed properly, and check Gigabyte's website to see if your board needs a BIOS update before using a Vishera CPU.

Good luck!

Try unplugging your graphics card, and launching it from the integrated graphics.

Also, is your screen plugged into the GRAPHICS CARD's HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort ports, instead of the motherboard's ports?
