My new RAM makes my PC not work

I'm not good with PC's but I decided I would try to upgrade my PC's RAM I bought a
Crucial DDR3L 1600MHz 8GB (some other info)
8GB 1600MHz (PC3L-12800) DDR3L CL11 Unbuffered UDIMM, 240pin, 1.35V/1.5V
It's one RAM stick but when I put it in with my
Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1600MHz 8gb (2x4GB)
My PC wouldn't work when I pressed the start button the fan would start spinning for a brief moment then turn off the Pc and then try again.
Did i do anything wrong?
My motherboard: ASUS LGA1150 B85M-G Please help me

This is the root of the problem. Mixing and matching RAM modules is often unsuccessful, and even if you try and match the EXACT same type of RAM from different packs they might not work together. At best mixing RAM has a 50/50 chance of working.

The fact that you are mixing different models and sizes only makes the likelihood of success even more remote.

The best thing you could do is to return the new 8GB stick and save up for a new 16GB pack of paired 8GB RAM modules.
