Is there ANYTHING I'm missing here I need besides software? Do I need a soundcard? Any suggestions on anything to change? I'll be doing some gaming. Changes preferably for cheaper things, not more expensive. I'm looking for bang for buck. Will the PSU in that case be able to handle this? There'll be an additional HDD, same model, that I'll be transferring over.

I would think about getting the built by Ati card instead. At $149 it's a great deal at http://shop.ati.com/tradeup.asp

Why are you buying thermal compound? AMD retail already has thermal pad on the heatsink. Unless you are planning to remove the thermal pad (wouldn't recommend it), you don't need the compound. Other than that, get the lite-on instead of NU DVD.
