This hard drive is running slow from the day I bought it. The disk usage reaches 100% at 40mBps transfer speed. I get 15-22mBps when transferring data in the same drive and my computer lags to a limit where you just want to push the force restart button atleast once a day.
A few days ago, crystaldisk mark showed the status of the hard drive as good but today it shows caution and the uncorrectable sector count is 8.
I am backing up my data but should I wait for the bad sectors to increase before I replace it or should I replace it immediately?
Will Seagate replace it for this reason? It's definitely under warranty.

Seems we are late to the party on this one! It's likely you've already attempted to RMA the drive given the timeline here, but just in case, or should anyone else stumble on this thread looking for the info, we wanted to make sure you were able to access the resources to look into this.

You can check on any potential warranty information using our Warranty Validation tool. If needed, you can also get in touch directly with Seagate Customer Support here.
