My new ssd is not showing up under 'My Computer'

So i just installed a 120gb Kingston HyperX Fury, it is showing up everywhere on my computer apart from My Computer, i have already tried formatting it in disk management and updating firmware but it is not showing up. If any extra info is needed just ask.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

yes i assigned it 'S' since its an ssd and my name starts with an s

The only suggestion I have is to restart the system once if you have not already.

If it is showing up in Disk Management, and has a drive letter, it should be showing up everywhere drives are listed.

I cannot think of any reason a drive S would not work. But try using something closer to C just to see if it shows up then. Like drive E or F for example.

And what version of Windows are you running?

Also, try changing the SATA port it is plugged into...

So it turned out the sata port it was plugged into was stuffed and i also needed to change the letter to G
