I just finished building two identical computers. The absolutely only difference in these two computers is the power supply and CPU coolers.
Biostar TZ68A+
Core i5-2500k
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (DDR3 1600)
PNY GTX 560 Ti OC2
Kingston V+100 SSDNow 96 GB
The power supplies are both good 550w units from Antec and Silverstone.
The CPU coolers are CM Hyper 212+ and Corsair H60.
Everything works great so far, except I noticed that one of the systems takes noticeably longer when booting up. It sits on the BIOS logo screen for a good extra 10 seconds or so. One system is already in Windows while the other system is still sitting at the BIOS logo screen. This isn't the end of the world, but I'd still like to know what is causing this to happen.
Any idea what could be causing the discrepancy? Memory checking? Something with the SSD/boot order/drive options? Would flashing a new BIOS possibly help?
Thanks
