First off I have built a few computers before with no issues.
Here are the parts

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/CaptSmoothie/saved/hZYbLk
CPU
Motherboard MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard
Ram x4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
HD
GPU MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB Video Card
PSU EVGA B5 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Case

PC part picker says everything is compatible. and I'm pretty positive that everything is connected properly.
Motherboard and CPU are both 3 gen as per box says

Everything lights up but there isn't signal to the monitor.
Motherboard lights come on
All fans come on
CPU fan comes on
GPU lights turn on

The monitor does work as I'm using it right now to type this. With same cord and everything.
I've plugged the HDMI into the GPU and the Motherboard.
I also have a display dongle and tried that in another GPU slot. (Nothing)
the 3700x doesn't have integrated graphics so it won't work there anyway

things I've tried to troubleshoot

CPU cord is plugged in
I attempted booting with 1 ram stick in slot 2 as per manual.
then slots 2 & 4
They are pushed in all the way.
took of CPU fan to check and see if CPU is correctly installed. (It is even had a friend verify the small triangles)
No loose screws
I took out the m.2 drive and still nothing. (Put it back in still nothing)

I'm trying to rule out something that is bad or dead. Any thoughts

Your part list is private so we cant' see it. 1 post, welcome to the club :). We have a pretty good community here.

You could have a bad part. So you need to start testing to see is bad. However the fun part is testing it without having each extra thing.

If your new computer an old computer both use DDR 4 ram you could try the ram in the new build to see if you have BAD ram.

You sure your new card is getting enough power?

Do you have different/Power supply to try? To rule out a bad power supply?

Do you have different video card to try? This is where its nice to have onboard graphics to troubleshoot.
