My Next Build - Intel/nVidia or AMD/Radeon?

The Intel one is better, but they are AWFUL for $2000.

Solution
Some of that is also overkill. Not sure it has to be intel/nvidia OR amd/radeon, intel pairs just fine with radeon. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice build and you get what you pay for but if budget's a concern - you probably don't 'need' a $555 graphics card, a psu that's almost $300, a case that's nearly $200 or 8gb of ddr4 for $143.

By going with a $300 graphics card, $160 psu, $140 case (still nice), 8gb of ddr3 (performance ram) at around $85..
Right there you've already knocked almost $600 off that parts list. Just my .02 worth.

There's definitely a lot of wasted coin being buried into this build. The idea that you're spending $2k without a monitor or periphrials is quite frankly, insane!
More power to ya~

Half the budget and still get a killer rig, GG.

Yep, all of us agree. $1000 is enough to max out current day (well-optimized, that is...) games, and will last a while. $2000 is simply for kicka** editing build.
