Discussion My next case

that doesn't exist in any store yet

Unlike most people I see picking cases, I don't want a fish tank covered in RGB. If anything I want the opposite

I am spoiled by the one I own now - Silverstone Fortress FT02

its sister case, the Raven RV02 still wins at Air cooling and shows cases 8 years younger than it how to do it right.

The only problem is, there isn't anything in a store now that comes close to it, so I am left waiting and hoping Silverstone remake a new Fortress based on a Raven prototype they have in the works. Up until it showed up, all I found was glass boxes that seem to forget fans need air.

Difference between Raven & Fortress is materials, Raven more plastic whereas mine mostly steel/aluminum

Not really a discussion. Just curious if anyone got any ideas of something else.

Not in a rush, I am not upgrading yet.

You might want to look at the Phanteks Enthoo Pro to see if it's similar enough to what you want.

I don't care for glass-sided cases, but wanted a good case with hinged side panels for ease of access (It's not like I'll be having the LED nonsense in mine.), but did wind-up getting this one for my up-coming build.

I was pleasantly surprised at the logical layout and sturdiness of the thing, and it's not an ugly case by any means. I'll probably remove the glass side, and take it down to the local glass shop and have them do an opaque black side panel to replace it with.

See if they have something that is an equivalent to your current case.

Oh yeah, it has to have dust filters but lucky most cases come with those now.

My last case didn't have them but the previous one did and I really missed them for 8 years. Current one does, its main reason I don't need to clean it as often as very little dust gets inside as case is designed around positive pressure and 3 x 180mm fans in base blow all dust out of case most of the time. Dust gets in but not a great deal.

I have had a LIan LI before, I still have that PC in garage as case was too good to just throw away. Spiders live in it now, it is probably safe to throw it away now as that was 10 years ago I last used it. They always made good cases, just expensive.
