[SOLVED] My nVidia 940M isn't recognized by my games, is it dead? PLS Help!!!

My Asus notebook's nVidia 940M isn't recognized by my games anymore. I've tried reinstalling its drivers, going for older ones, I even tried re-installing one of the games, no joy.

The strange thing is that Windows 10 does actually recognize it, my games on the other hand won't.

Is it possible that the card is dead? How can I be sure? What should I do now?

Yes its possible, but this sounds more like a software issue. I would reinstall Windows completely to be sure.

What might have changed since all was well?
Possibly windows pushed out a less than good update.
See if you can use system restore to reset back to when all was well.

Are you running plugged in?
The laptop will by default use the integrated graphics when running on battery power to save run time.

Is the source for your driver reinstall ASUS or nvidia?
