I recently bought a 750ti and added it to my computer everything was working fine until I tried to play fortnite it was running perfectly at 60fps(capped) but the game randomly shut down and said update your drivers so I tried to upgrade my drivers and when my computer was done restarting ( i upgraded my drivers to 397.31) my resolution dropped to 800*600 and my graphics card is no longer being registered by my computer.

Before resetting I could play league of legends at 150 fps and now I just about manage 5 here are my specs

(I used a program called speccy to show my specs before restarting it would show the 750ti had a temperature)

Solution
I'm guessing you didn't remove the old driver before installing the new one. It's quite possible something failed in the driver and has been carried over that the new driver.

So, I would recommend removing the display drivers and starting again. The easiest way is use DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html scroll down a bit for the download locations. It's best to run the program while in safemode, you want to remove the drivers and restart the PC. You'll get a low resolution display, now you need to install the new drivers again and see if that works. If it doesn't, then there may be something wrong with the graphics card.

1- uninstalled card and went to onboard graphics
2- Uninstalled GeForce Experience and everything Nvidia
3- Put card back into my PC and installed all the drivers and everything works fine!
