[SOLVED] My old graphics card died, looking for a new one (motherboard compatibility question)

Hello!

My MSI GTX 970 died a couple of days ago. I am looking to get a new graphics card. This is my motherboard -> MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard.

I am not sure whether or not I could buy the newer models out there, as it has been a couple of years since I did the build, and I am not aware right now of the PCI-e compatibility.
