Just to clarify, I'm 13. Even since I was 8 or so, I've always had an interest in technology. So about 9 months ago, I discovered how beautiful and amazing PC gaming is when comparing to any console. My parents have never supported this "lifestyle" and think I need to forget about it. Over the summer I started trying to put some builds together on pcpartpicker and started during hours upon hours of research on the latest releases of CPU, GPU, Mobos, etc. my parents still never thought it was, to say the least, cool. They want me to do something that pays a good lumpsome of money and I try to explain to them that I have an interest in something that pays an extremely good salary, depending on what it is. So ever since the release of the new Nvidia 900 series, I have been wanting to build a gaming PC. Here is the link: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/cewp6/saved/JWBxFT
My parents say that it is to expensive, and I agree. The thing is though is that my parents own a restaurant. I have worked before, and I still can and will be getting minimum wage (yes it is legal). If I work from open till close, whick is 11am to 7pm, I'll be getting around $72 dollars a day, as minimum wage in California is $9.00 per hour. If I work all the days that we are open (all week except Sunday), I will be making $432 per week. So, my therory is, if I can pay for my PC myself and prove that it is not a waste of time, then maybe, just maybe, will they see the amazing thing that is PC gaming.
