My PassPort Essential is not detected by my PC

Hello, my external hard disk model My Passport Essential is not detected by my PC or laptop

Plug in the drive and open up Disk Manager (Start -> right-click "Computer", select "Manage" -> click "Disk Management" in the left pane).

Find the drive in the LOWER-right pane, right-click on it then create a volume and format it.

but I have data in it, other than formatting is there any other solution.

where did the data come from? another windows machine?
