My PC boots up, then, when Windows is loading, the monitor turns off and says 'No Signal Detective'.

Hi, I've been having a slight issue- whenever I boot up my computer, the resolution is smaller and, when Windows is loading, the monitor just turns off and says 'No Signal Detected'. I did get it to work yesterday however it won't work today and I forgot what I actually did to fix it yesterday. Any tips on what could the problem?

Insofar you mention a change in resolution leads me to suspect a graphics driver problem. Try to boot into safe mode; if you can then it strongly suggests it is a graphics driver problem.

As for the "no signal detected" message... try unplugging various peripherals. (I once had a USB drive plugged in which led to the signal being lost after the Windows logo.)

I tried this but to no result... I uninstalled and reinstalled the GPU drivers using the NVIDIA experience. Advice on how to role back?

There are some who recommend against using GeForce Experience to install drivers and to install manually. GeForce Experience leaves a lot of old drivers in your system and takes up space.

It depends on what nature of the roll back you want to pursue. You could just uninstall the driver using DDU. Check this for clean driver installations. This would ensure maximum efficiency and should reduce possible conflicts. Or perhaps uninstalling using Device Manager.

If reinstalling still doesn't work, then you may need to consider an older driver. There is the rare possibility the newest driver doesn't work well for your graphics card, for whatever reason, and you need to find a stable one for your PC.

I also have a random issue where at times coming from sleep a DVI connection will not send the signal to the PC and I have to reboot. Fixed it by just using my HDMI port on my GPU.
Also what kind of connection are you using? Does it happen when using the MoBo display ports or just the GPU. Have you tried using a different GPU, if you have one on hand? A little more detail would be great as to what you have and have not done yet, and as to what you are and are not using.

Thanks for the responses. Turned out Windows tried to force update the drivers but made a mess of it :/

Some PC guy mislead us and we ended up RMAing the GPU and it took a quick drop in at the local repair store to figure out the REAL problem. What I can't believe is that it still failed and stuff even after we reinstalled the drivers. That's windows 10 for you.
