Question My PC BSOD's when i allocate my ram in advanced settings after restarting.

My PC has been acting very slow recently and i think it may be poor ram allocation by windows 10. I have 16gb of ram, set my initial value as the recommended and set maximum as 1024x16x1.5= 24576. this is the correct amount yet my pc bsod's when i try it despite my pc acting much more faster before it BSOD's. any suggestions? it is not slowed down by overheating, malware, too many active programmes etc. i am really confused as of now.

also it does not BSOD at any other time other than after i allocate new ram that isn't recommended.
