My PC build

This will be my first pc build and I wanted conformation. My budget for the hardware is $500 excluding the HDD, optical drive, and OS.

Your build is over budget.

You should get a later motherboard eg MSI 970 Gaming

You should get a better quality power supply eg XFX550. You need 550W for a R9 280 anyway.
