I failed to access my passport when i tried to installing something through my passwort to PC, then i accidentally removed the USB and its saying that my passport is in use when i try to plug it again in my PC.

I also have this problem b4, but i fixed it easily by doing system restore....in my computer...but right now i can't since the system restore didn't do any back-up at that time 🙁
Can someone help please.

And oh also can't re-format it, since everytime i try to open it or any action i do it will just be keep on loading trying to read the disk.

And Yes,Local Disk (F: ) shows up in my computer, but that's it.

Welcome to the community, Neptune!

I'm truly sorry to hear about your WD My Passport drive. The sudden unplugging of the USB cable could have done some corruption to the HDD, so I'd strongly recommend you to test it using WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. Running the QUICK and the EXTENDED tests from the software utility will help us determine the health and S.M.A.R.T. status of the WD My Passport. Here's a link to the WD software (it should be listed second in the available downloads): http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=F2OxQy
I'd also advise you to check the external drive's status in Disk Management. When you right-click on the disk/volume, what are the available options that you're given?

Keep me posted with the results!

First things first, thanks for the fast reply.

So i tried the first one you suggested, using WD Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. I connected my WD My Passport Ultra then opened the Diagnostic(runned it as a administrator) waited for 30 mins b4 it can finally able finished loading/reading my passport.

So i tried it running first in QUICK test, waited for 1 hour before the actual process can began since it was stuck in Running Cable Test. after that the scan test is now running. but i am stuck in 3 (green)bars, and the estimated time remaining keeps on going up, its now 18:43:*going up* i don't know if i should cancel this or not but i try to leave it as it is for now.

As for the when right-clicking on the disk/volume, it will just keep on loading/reading (*basically nothing shows up *stuck* on the process of reading/loading*)

*edit on right clicking^*
But i can open it if, leave it in the PC connected for many hours probably 8-up hrs? Just tried it this morning when i opened it did'nt see anything no file or etc. but i can have a option to format it (which still haven't tried since dont want to lose my files),properties etc.

*Edit*
It showed this http://i.imgur.com/wnMIxet.png "Too many Bad Sectors Detected* and the test stopped and the QUICK TEST failed
Starting Extended Test also failed

Hi again, NeptuneEXE!

This seems very unfortunate! According to the test results, it seems like your WD My Passport external has failed. 🙁 If you can still access it even if you need to wait awhile, I'd recommend you to back up your files ASAP. Otherwise, you might need to turn to e professional data recovery company ( http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=tycM64 ) in order to retrieve your files.
I'd also strongly recommend you to contact our customer support after attempting the data recovery and let them know about your issues with the WD My Passport. You should be able to send an RMA request if the drive is still under warranty and get a replacement from us.

Good luck! Hope this helps.
