Shows the SATA power port right there on it. You need power to it, plug in a SATA power cable.

For some reason this harddrive doesnt have a power input? all it have is the sata cable, which ive tried testing with another.
but if it doesnt have power input then it shouldnt work? ive been wondering why there werent any power input

thats pretty much what i dont understand, a friend of mine simple gave this internal hard drive to me because i needed one, but he claimed all i had to do was to plug in the cable.
but since theres no power input how is it supposed to run..

sigh.. it just did need a power source, but since i only have one that isnt used for a hard drive but is used as a disc drive i have to chose between them until i have another cable..
