My PC can't recognize my external HDD.

Hello,
I own a 500GB external HDD( I don't know the brand). Recently I accidentally formatted it by using the format option and since then my PC doesn't recognize the HDD. I've already tried the HDD on two PCs and with no success and the USB seems to work completely fine.

I accidentally did this a while ago. What saved me was EaseUS data recovery. If you can't get that then try minitool power data recovery. I have a serial for that so if you want it PM me.

Hi there wiggy12,

After the drive is just accidentally formatted(not overwritten), you should be able to retrieve at least some of the data. My guess would be that most of the data recovery tools will do just fine. You can try the ones that PizzaTheHutt already suggested. Just keep in mind not to overwrite the HDD in some way. It may be a good idea to save the recovered data on another drive.
