Question My PC connected to a UPS becomes unresponsive after a power dip

I have an i7 with Windows 10 and it is connected to a UPS. When there is a power dip, like for example if the airconditioner comes on or I plug something else in, the monitor goes blank and the pc becomes unresponsive. The lights are still on and it seems to be running normally, but it is impossible to get it to 'wake up'. I have to switch it off and switch it back on, then it boots up and works as normal. So it is responding to the UPS in some way, but not staying on as it is supposed to. The power settings are all set to high so there are no power saving issues as far as I can tell. Even in the BIOS is set to restart, with no power saving settings. Thanks in advance for any solutions.
