[SOLVED] my pc crashing when i play games can someone help

my pc keeps crashing when i play games i can play the game for 30 mins or maybe a couple of hours some times 5 mins and then it will crash and the fans will go to full speed. windows is up to date and my graghics card is up to date. i have the gtx 1060sc 6gb and the i5-7400 with 8g of ram can someone plz help :)

Ok that’s a problem and the likely cause of your issue. That so called 500w only claims 22A on the 12v rail which is the most important rail (22A x 12V = 264w). By its own spec it’s really a 300w psu and at <£20 it’s going to be terrible quality.

The first thing to do is get a good quality 500w or greater psu. The Corsair CX550 are ok and usually reasonably priced. Although be careful, don’t get the CX500.
