My pc display shuts off after reboot.

I recently installed a graphics card (GeForce 1050) into my PC and after I booted up the pc a couple days ago, the monitor turned opaque purple and i had to flip the power switch on the back of the pc. When i boot up the pc now, the monitors switch off as if there isn't a signal coming from the pc. I'm using both a regular pc monitor cable as well as a HDMI cable.
Any help is worth it, trust me.

Need full system specs, including the power supply brand and model. Does the system work OK without the video card? Try the card in another system to make sure it's good? Test system with one RAM stick at a time or different RAM?
