my pc doesnt connect to my canon hv30 via hdmi cable

windows 8 doesn't connect to camera through hdmi port. pc doesn't see connection

You can't connect a camera to a PC with an HDMI cable. That is for connecting it to the TV. Find the USB cable and use that.
