I have Windows 7 and my main monitor is ASUS. I'm trying to add my second monitot(Samsung) and my PC doesn't recognise it. I've tried Nvidia multiple display, force finding, display settings from start menu but hopeless...Do you have any idea?
According to NVIDIA, The GTX 660 has One Dual Link DVI-I, One Dual Link DVI-D, One HDMI, One DisplayPort
your monitors are VGA connectors, ok, and your using adaptors to connect the VGA connector to the DVI ports correct ?
so you are using 1 DVI-I to VGA and I am going to bet this is the monitor that actually works right now.
and the other DVI-D to VGA and this one does not work correct? or am I incorrect?
the dvi-vga adaptors are dvi-I to vga and DVI-D to vga are not the same adaptors
if you kept the cables in place and swapped monitors and the problem remains with the 2nd output you need now to physically swap entire video cables between ports and leave monitor in place ( to make proof it is either adaptor/cable. if so the problem will move now to first output, if not it will remain on 2nd indicating a video card issue. or adaptor issue.
