My pc freezes at start up even just after ssd format

WINDOWS 10
SSD DRIVE...
SATA harddrive
6 CORE PROCESSOR
gigabyte motherboard REV 1.1
NIVIDIA 960 gtx Graphic card





guys well my daughters PC started to freeze periodically after the latest windows 10 update but may have been just a coincidence she as two drives and the PC froze with either drive

so i tried all the fixes like changing powers options bla bla bla nothing worked

I made sure all connections inside and out were good but everything seemed good

tried different mouse and keyboard but it made no difference

OK i tried putting in ram that i new was good ...no dice still froze
OK i tried putting in a PSU that i new was good ...still no dice still froze


OK so we decided to format the SSD drive to see if it cured the problem and it did install windows but just as it tried to load windows or download critical updates it froze again and again and again even after i re-formatted i can never get windows to actually load before the PC freezes

So i am starting to think motherboard or processor but baring in mind that the processor as never overheated and still does not i don't think its the problem ..but i don't know


So im stuck so any help or ideas would be gratefully received

Make sure the Drive with Windows on it is first in the boot order and set to ACHI. This can be found in the BIOS.
