My Pc from around 2000 stopped working today so how can i fix it or just recover data from molex and floppy disk cable hdd?

Pc is turning off and on
No display
Amd cpu - atom?
Nvidia gt XXX
Power supply is maybe working (it blew up a fuse)
Pc have windows xp

I tried if is power supply working - fuse blew up
Cmos battery replaced

not sure if relevant. I had a similar situation like this years ago. Used a dock for a Maxtor HDD which has windows XP. I was able to view files, but only if the dock is connected to a pc with Windows 7 OS running. For some reason, the HDD would not be recognized if I try to connect the dock to a pc with Windows 10 os.

anyway, difficult situation for the OP.

edit: realized by looking at the box. The dock I purchased years ago, is Win 7 compatible only. lol

What do you mean?
Just go to whatever site that searches stores for prices in your country and search for 'ide to sata' .
Link those that are in your price range so that we can tell you the best option.

And please, however this turns out, take this as a lesson and make an actual backup plan in the future. This is a very basic part of responsible PC ownership. If you're able to save these files this time, don't go right back to the negligent behavior that put them at risk of being gone forever.
