My PC games were running full screen through my VGA and now it runs 800 X 600 wh

So I have an Inspiron1720 connected to my tv and earlier in the day everything was running fine and then I had to restart my computer and whenever it came back on everything looked and seemed fine. However, whenever I started my game, Diablo 2:LOD, my VGA resolution changed from full screen to 800 X 600 and have not been able to get it back to full screen. So I was wondering what happened and how do I get it back to full screen?

Why did you have to restart the computer ? Windows Vista update ?
Use Device Manager to roll back the display driver.

If you cannot change the display resolution in normal mode, try doing that in safe mode.
