Hello
I have a PC which is hanging too much. I am unable to figure out what's the reason behind hanging. My PC specifications are below:
Processor: Core i5-2300 2.80GHz
MotherBoard: ASUS P8H61-MX R2.0
RAM: 2x2GB DDR3 1600MHz
HardDisk: 250GB
Graphics: Intel HD 2000
Edited: It hangs when I open software like photoshop. When using photoshop I cannot run another software like chrome. Mostly it freezes pc. While doing file transferring from one drive to another the pc starts hanging.

ummm everything😀 If you do want help we need specifics. Hanging usually means freezing temporarily which in your case may be due to the low RAM amount. The issue is you tell us your PC is hanging and that's it. Zero context. When does it hang and for how long? Do you need to reboot when it hangs. Can it play movies just fine? If it happens with games which game exactly? That PC is NOT prepared for today's games.

I have a cough doctor. Cure me. Doc is happy the patient(parts list) and one symptom is here but he's ill prepared to offer a diagnosis until more info is offered.

The standard for that type of work these days is 16GB. It is okay with 8GB. RAM needs to be at least doubled. If you buy more RAM a 2 x 4GB or 2 x 8GB RAM kit is needed. If you take one stick out and add 1 8GB stick it MIGHT work but it might not. I am leaning towards not. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H61MX_R20/HelpDesk_QVL/ shows you which memory modules have been tested. To keep it simple I would match the speed(1333MHz?) and the voltage(1.5V) and the timing(CL9?) and buy an 8 or 16GB kit of that type of RAM. I prefer Kingston or Corsair.

Yeah, defiantly needs more memory for sure.

4GB is not enough.

I have a laptop with the same specification which is running smoothly.

What is the make and model laptop?

I doubt it, Windows 10 64 bit will barely run on 4GB of ram.

Start opening programs and it will be running off the swap file....

Plus you are running onboard graphics, that takes system memory.

You need 8GB of ram.
