Hi can someone help me with my problem. I accidentally put my ram in wrong position and i pushed it too hard on. After putting my ram i turned on my pc then the sounds disappeared. I tried to uninstall and install drivers but it didnt work. it says speakers and mic not plugged in. I tested my headset on other device and its working. Is it in my sound card or should i replace my motherboard? Help pls im desperate. My motherboard is ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0

Did you ground/discharge yourself or use any Anti Static Wrist Strap Band before doing the ram installation? Sounds like Static Electricity case. But just to be sure, unplug the power from your pc. Reinstall your ram and make sure it's well fitted. then take the Cmos Battery from your motherboard wait about 5 minutes and then put it in again. After that reconnect power cord and power on the PC. And see if the problems still persist. If the problem is still there, then maybe some of the motherboard ports(sound) got damaged by Static Electricity. In that case you will need to take it to a PC Shop or Repair Store to see if they can do anything to fix it. Or you could buy a PCI Sound Card.
