My pc is not allowing me to get on the main screen all its saying is failure configuring windows updates.. I've tried everythi

I cant get my pc to reboot or start over so i can update my pc

Enter bios and set DVD to boot first. (if it is not set that way already)
Un-plug internet connections.
Put the windows disk in the drive and select "upgrade."
This will not erase your programs or files.
But, it will wipe all the windows updates out of the system.

Next start up computer and turn OFF automatic windows updates.
Then, re-connect internet...

There is at least 1 update that is incompatible with your computer. Do not install that update (because the same thing will happen again)

Install updates manually only.
Check the manufacturer for list of incompatible updates.
Load only critical security updates. (recommended)
