My PC is slow for seemingly no reason

My computer is slow when in games.
When I play any game, no matter how easy to run it is my pc is very slow. I have this pc (which is quite old to my knowledge) as an upgrade to my awful laptop. However my of laptop could play some of these games even though it had worse specs. The specs my pc has is:

AMD Athlon II X3 425 Processor 2.70Ghz
3GB of RAM (but upgrading it with a usb had no visible effects)
64-bit OS, x64-based processor
Running Win10

Any more needed specs can be give if asked for.

So I'm just wondering what the problem might be because I am clueless and for some reason it's worse than my laptop with worse specs.

Maybe it's just overheatin issue? Maybe just clean your PC out of dust and check the temp. (exchange the thermal paste as well). And you can run some antivirus scan ( i recommend ADWcleaner, Malwarebytes, RogueKiller and House Call). You can run CCleaner as well 😉

You run this PC on Windows 10 so in fact last update could have a very huge impact on your performance

I think that would be the best option for you. In addition to this you're gonna have less problems with game it self (like crashing, launching issue etc.)But that's your choice
