Hello guys,
I need some help. Today I tried to install Windows 8.1 on my PC using an USB flash memory stick.
I managed to boot from it and install the OS but when the installation restarted my PC, this issue came up.
The PC is stuck on BIOS screen. I can't enter into boot menu or in BIOS setup.
What I've tried so far:
1. Removed CMOS battery and put back - nothing.
2. Removed RAM and started PC without = 3 beep sound. After I've put them back, same thing.
3. Removed HDD' Sata cable = Was able to pass the BIOS screen.
So it looks like the problem should be the HDD. With the SATA cable removed, (or removed from BIOS and SATA connected) I can pass the BIOS screen. Power cable is ok.
Also, if the Sata cable is connected, the BIOS screen tells me my HDD is connected and gives me some info about it.
What can I do? Thanks in advance!

Solution
Sounds like a drive or corrupted installation, and the bios is hanging up on the boot record. You should try to boot from the USB again, and start the windows installation. This time delete all partitions/partition on your drive (This will combine them into one partition if you have mutiple), and continue the install process. After you delete the partition, you don't need to format. Installation will do the rest.

If you have any data you need backed up on the drive, you will need to pop it in another system, and backup anything you don't want to loose.

Solution
Yeah, probably a corrupted installation.
Anyway, here is what I did:
There was no way to boot from anything while the HDD was connected, so I disconnected the SATA cable and booted the USB again. I connected the SATA cable right after and I was able to see the HDD. I deleted the partitions and started from 0.
Now it works, the Window booted after restart.
Thanks for answer!
