Question My PC is stuttering a lot

So a couple of months back I bought a new RX 7900 XT, installed and it all seems to be fine, but it's pretty "stuttery", it even stutters on situations when it shouldn't be stuttering, and with graphically non demanding games

On genshin impact it stutters occasionally when running around the overworld, and when I open the map it looks super choppy, and the cursor "jumps" from point a to point B.

On "Control" it stutters often when loading new areas, and when I pause and un-pause the game, it stutters if I try to watch a in game video or reading some files an generally just stutter on the menu.

Even on the desktop it stutters, when I use the mouse it looks choppy and stuttery, the same it looks jumpy when using the Genshin map

RX 7900 XT
Ryzen 5 5600X
32 GB 3200 GHz RAM
Gygabite B550 gaming V2


I don't even know where to begin to fix this issue, any help would be greatly appreciated

Even on the desktop it stutters, when I use the mouse it looks choppy and stuttery

Check what % of CPU is used by the Windows kernel, right-click in the CPU graph of Task Manager.

In an ideal world it would be less than 1%, the line would be barely visible, from around 3-8% the mouse would 'lag', stutter etc. and gaming would begin to be affected, above 10% the machine would be very frustrating to use and almost completely unusable for gaming on.

You could try to narrow it down by checking which CPU# is worse affected and use Process Explorer (MS Sysinternals) to track down the process or figure out which hardware/driver, background web page/whatever is behind it.

I installed AMD drivers and deleted my Nvidia drivers (went from the 1060 to the 7900), I was thinking that the drivers might be the issue, but I dont know how to test that, any way to check if I switched drivers correctly?

I dont,.
running similar issue , i tried many things
before u uninstall everything i would try DDU
i think my last option an reinstall windows should be final option
i reset my pc same i placed my card in my other pc same .
so let me know what solves ur issue good luck

No .my Gpu rx 6800 crashes most games unplayable .
those are my last options DDu or clean window 11 install should be my last ,unless bad gpu .

just trying to be helpful before u erase all ur games then u still have same problems .

but ya i have read that when u get a new gpu u have to reinstall windows from usb or cd to have no problems ,but not 100 % sure
