[SOLVED] My pc is underperforming comparing to other's game benchmarks.

I just switched from GTX 1060 6GB to RTX 2070 and expected a big change in fps. I got 10-15 fps more on better graphics settings while other people with same systems get 20+.
I used userbench and for a while I was uncderperforming, but after I reinstalled windows it was showing that my pc performance is normal but in-game fps was still the same.
I also tried restoring my BIOS settings and experimenting with some of the settings but everything's still the same.

My specs:

• i7 8700k running on stock 3.7 Ghz
• Asus STRIX RTX 2070 OC edition haven't touched overclocking yet
• 500 GB SSD
• 1 16 GB 2400Mhz stick
• 700 W Power supply

well having one stick of ram effectively cuts your memory bandwidth in half, so i am assuming in the video they have dual channel. download cpu-z and see what model of ram you have and try getting another stick.

also is turbo boost activated within the bios, the i7 8700k should turbo upto 4.7 GHz according to intel.

what monitor are you running? resolution refreshrate and so on?

A few questions what PSU you have not exactly related but good to know I notice you are not running dual-channel memory which CAN influence performance also the Strix is factory overclocked and did you have ANYTHING running in the background?

I am using some chieftec 700 W modular power supply.

I think my friend has 1 ram stick that's same as mine so I'll borrow it as soon as possible and test out the system after I use dual- channel.

Alright that PSU brand seems very unknown I'd suggest getting a new PSU as once that PSU goes out IT WILL fry your entire PC reputable brands include Corsair models TX and RM EVGA models G3 and GQ Seasonic FOCUS PLUS there are other reputable brands such as Be Quiet! but I don't know which units are bad/good from them so only mentioning brands and models I know are good.
