I built my PC last February and when I play games like call of duty or Final Fantasy 15 or games like tomb raider the performance isn’t What I expect sometimes I hit 50 to 60 frames or 30 to 40 FPS.

My hardware:
Gpu-asus gtx 1060 3gb
Motherboard- asus prime B350M-A
Storage-1tb of storage
Ram- 2x8gb of ddr4 & ballistix sport 8gb ddr4

Processor- ryzen 5 1500x

Solution
Tomb raider has a in game benchmark. Dunno about the others.

Run the benchmark at the graphic settings you play and monitor the gpu utilization in task manager.

I feel that the 3gb vram in the 1060 is limiting you from getting higher fps.

Solution : try lowering texture quality, shadow quality to make the game use less vram.

wait but that doesnt make any sense.. because i just got the corsair vengeance pro and that says on the box "3000MHz"
and on my other sticks of ram that are in my pc it says that the starting speed is "2400" so how can my ram speed be lower than both of those lol.. (all slots in my pc have ram sticks in them and the total amout of ram I have is 24 gb)

hello,
I built my computer last February 2018 and ive had it for a year now but when I play certain games i'm not getting the frames that are really acceptable
tomb raider i drop below 50 fps, gta v iths the same, games like overwatch i play with low settings and sometimes hit 50 fps.. you get my drift this

gpu- gtx 1060 3gb
motherboard-asus prime B350m-a
cpu-ryzen 5 1500x
ram-24 gb of ram
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 DRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model CMW16GX4M2D3000C16
and
Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) CL16 DIMM 288-Pin -
and for my ram speed it's 2133
i dont't know much about computers or anything and i really just want some type of help.

What Resolution are you playing at?
Ram speed is a major problem. 24gb of slow ram isn't helpful to games so if you were to remove the 8gb kit and just use the 16GB DDR4 3000mhz kit you would see a lot more fps. Under 3000mhz will drop performance by as much as 20fps in some cases. You will have to enable XMP to get the ram at 3000mhz.
Also, Userbenchmark.com will tell you if your pc is performing as it should.
Don't start new redundant threads.

don't mix ram. remove the slow one.
do userbenchmark.com and post the result here.
what games? what resolution? where did you get them from?

turn docp/xmp ram profile on in bios
