So i have a ryzen 5 3600 and a xfx rx 580 and neither of them are overclocked. I have the latest windows updates and drivers but my gpu spikes to 100 percent and always crashes my game Any suggestions? i really don't want to go pay best buy to fix it.

Solution
Try to stop overclocking your CPU/GPU, it could be your RAM. Try to use 1 ram sticks instead of 2, and if you test with 1 stick and it's still keep crashing, try the other sticks.

What is Ryzen Master showing for cpu & gpu idle temps? And - I know you said it crashes at 100%, but if you can see what the temps peak to before that happens...

Out of curiosity, I looked up this particular RX 580... quite a fair number of negative reviews across both Newegg and Amazon; high temps are among the greatest concerns.
A poorly designed card, it seems.
You'll have to try cranking the fans way up and underclocking the card for stability.

You should and you probably have the software for controlling GPU fans, in there try creating percentual fan power in it, for example you can tell it to turn up the fans when the GPU hits a certain degree.. for example my card has something on the style of 60° - 2700RMP and then 70° - 3400RMP etc etc.
