i was just doing some work when my system just froze up started stuttering and the audio went crazy like static then my peripheral's turned off but my case fans and my case was still powered on i thought it was the psu so i changed it from a 500w to a brand new 650w but this issue just occurred and idk what to do as i dont want it to be a reoccurring problem

my specs:
ryzen 5 2600x
rx 590 8 gb
b450 rog strix mobo
650w 80 plus bronze gamemax
gamemax iceberg 3 fan 240mm aio
16gb ddr4 ram ADATA XPG

Check the Temps of your Processor and GPU.
Pull the RAM out and put it in different slot, if there are multiple RAMs, then check it one by one
Update Drivers
Reinstall Windows
Check it without GPU
If issue persist, then check it with another Processor or GPU

the temps are cool its just like when im multitasking like on discord google and a game itll just freeze up audio will go crazy and monitor keyboard and mouse are off whilst my fans and rgb in case are all on

its happened 3 times today
now its really irritating and frustrating when my pc just freezes and just turns off like the monitor and keyboard and mouse all go off but the hardware is still on and running all the fans and the rgb

This is often the sign of a heat and/or power issue.

What specific model PSU are you using?

What are your CPU and GPU operating temperatures at idle and under load?

Are you overclocking any devices (CPU, GPU, memory)?

Have you tested your memory for errors (with a tool like memtest)?

i have a 650w bronze rated game master psu
i never have o'c my cpu or gpu
ill test my memory and reply and my gpu and cpu temps idle are around 30-40

The actual model matters. With that information, we can assess whether it may/may not be able of supporting your system. Low quality PSUs, regardless of their rating, can lead to these sorts of issues.

GameMax makes very poor quality PSUs. See here:

i would like to spend around 45-50 british pounds i usually shop at amazon for the quick delivery
With that low a budget, your quality options are going to be quite limited.

ive seen corshair ones for almost £50 less is it a good company for psus?
