So basically my PC keeps freezing during any game i play ( just a mini freeze and then resumes) gets pretty annoying if im in a team fight and come back dead.

it started about 1 month ago (PC is 1 years old) i tried formatting with clean windows 10 installation and drivers installation but im still getting this issue.

PC specs:
-Intel Core i7-8086K 5.00GHZ CPU Processor
-Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 2280 SSD
-2TB Seagate BarraCuda 3.5" SATA III
-HyperX Predator (2x 8GB) - DDR4 3600 MHz
-Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L
-Cooler Master Full Modular 1000w PSU
-Asus ROG MAXIMUS X HERO Motherboard
-Asus ROG Strix 1080 Ti 11GB DDR5X

Any help would be much appreciated

Solution
im currently using Bullguard, fully licensed, it does auto scans regularly.
when youre playing and the freezes happen, does youre disk or anything else spike up really hard for a split second?also ive seen in other PC's that people had this problem and disabling windows defender fixed it for them

Try disconnecting that mechanical drive and then try to run a game that you know is installed on your SSD and see if this helps?

i will try this as a last resort as my drives have no errors according to disk checks, also all my games are installed on my SSD, only work documents / pics are on the SATA. besides everything has been running fine up until a month ago, could possible be CPU temp ? but i have a beast of a watercooling system soooo ?
