IIuse put together a system that was working perfect in its old case, I recently just switched power supplies to a Evga 750W and the case to a Corsair 800D and added a couple new fans. I also got new ram but I didn't put it in. So what happens is when I turn on my pc it turn off every 30 secs. I have tried hooking up the monitor to it but there isn't a display. Please help. Asap!

Solution

1st. Remove the motherboard, and make sure there is nothing it the case, such as spare screws etc. that could be touching the board itself.

2nd. Make sure all of the power connectors are in right, and nothing is "plugged in wrong."

Is your motherboard touching any part of the case, metals, anything but the motherboard mounts?

It looks like it is very close (or touching) the metal brackets that cover the slots where the VGA ports etc are.

I turn it on, it stays on, 30 seconds later, it turns off, then it turns on again, then it turns off again after 30 seconds. Repeat.
