My PC-monitor is somehow making my internet connection drop all the time, why is that?

Everything works fine with another monitor, or when the monitor is turned off or in sleep mode. Whenever it is active my internet connecting from this PC drops or slows down to a halt.

I have tried changing the HDMI cable, connecting the monitor with DVI with no luck.

I have also tried connecting both with WiFi and ethernet, and still nothing changes.

Any ideas what could cause this issue, I am all out of ideas and I can't understand why a monitor affects my internet connection.

It is a Samsung 21 widescreen, a couple of years old. The problems started recently.

Wireless internet? If so, you might be experiencing extreme EMI from that monitor. Basically it would be like running a microwave next to your computer

It is the same with both ethernet and wireless internet. EMI shouldn't affect anything else than wireless right?
