My PC not working

Hi Team,

Problem-motherboard getting powered off automatically after 5-10 sec.
Have to turn off the complete power supply from the wall socket and wait until for 10 to 15 min to get the capacitors discharge completely then turn it back on.

Incident-day to day use powered off automatically, checked the power supply if there were any loose connections--didn't find any, took off the complete motherboard out of the case cleaned it refixed still getting same issues.

Have been using this for more than year so no compatibility issues.

Parts used-
Motherboard-Asus H170 pro gaming
Power supply-Corsair CX500
Graphics-Asus 960
Processor-Intel 6400
RAM-Gskill 16GB (2 sticks 8 gig's)
SSD-intel 256gb

all products under warranty
Need help to fix it.

This kind of problems are usually related to failing PSU, and seeing you have old model (green label) Corsair CX which is not know for being high quality strengthens that suspicion. This could also be caused by motherboard, but I would start testing with another PSU.

Thanks Brother, will try checking with a different PSU
Any Suggestions on which Brand/Series should i go for...?

Top choices are Seasonic Focus Plus Gold or Platinum, Corsair RMx, EVGA G2 or G3. You can't go wrong with any of those.

Got one today..Bought the Cooler master 600 Lite
System works fine
It was the PSU that was faulty.
