i have 4 machines that do this. all of them started after installing windows 10.

one is a z97 board with an i5 and a gtx 980
one is an h110 board with a celeron and rx 550
one is a z77 board with an i5 and a gtx 670
one is an x38 board with a q6600 and a radeon 7850

this only happens when i put the machine to sleep instead of full shut down. been trying to figure out why since they all got windows 10 in 2015 (the h110 is slightly newer). all 4 machines are fully updated. all 4 machines worked fine with windows 8.1. I have checked power settings, sleep settings, wake on lan settings, i have all usb devices set to not wake the machine. even tried unplugging everything, including network. nothing has helped. sometimes it'll simply wake...

also, my parents both have Surface Pro's which do the same thing. One of them came with Windows 8 and was later upgraded to 10 and began doing this. the other shipped with 10 and has always done this.

I have two ryzen machines, both b350 boards with r5 1600. neither of these do this.
