[SOLVED] My PC recognizes 4TB Hdd as just 3TB

Hi everybody,

I have a Western Digital 4TB hdd, but my PC (Bios of PC and Windows 10 as OS) distinguishes it as 3TB.

How I can retrieve full capacity of the harddisk?

I appreciate any help or clue in advance.

3Tb is often a limit of the bios,you can look at the mobo webpage, they should have a tool to allow larger drives.
If they don't then you have to make one partition that is a little smaller than 3Tb so you can make a second one with the remainder.

Thank you for your reply, but my broblem is that I have another 4TB haddisk attached to the same PC, wjthout any problem. Also, as I mentioned, there is no unallocated space in the harddisk.

what other HDD is well recognized ?
first try with a quick LLF and create a new partition with windows manager.
